While providing individual, group, and family therapy, the clinical therapist participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning by developing weekly comprehensive psychosocial assessments, assessment and crisis intervention consultation.
MUST BE REGISTERED WITH THE BOARD OF BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES.
POSITIONS ARE HYBRID TO WORK IN THE CLINIC AND FROM HOME. MUST LIVE IN THE HIGH DESERT REGION OF SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY DUE TO WORKING WITH PATIENTS IN CRISIS AT NEARBY HOSPITALS (Victorville, Apple Valley, Phelan, Adelanto, Hesperia, etc.).
The Clinical Therapist will perform the following services utilizing virtual telehealth services and/or face-to-face as necessary.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
- Receive training to become a certified 5150/5585 Writer to provide clinical assessments in a hospital setting (Additional pay per patient seen).
- Complete insurance panel assessments (licensed only).
- Complete session notes in a timely and efficient manner.
- Coordinates mental health support services to clients and families by linking them to other community resources to maximize client self-sufficiency and independence significant to the client's continuum of care.
- Interviews clients seeking mental health intervention services on an emergency basis and utilizes crisis intervention and community outreach techniques supportive of client recovery in the community.
- Develop treatment plans with the clients and monitor progress.
- Complete insurance authorization information for treatment plans (licensed only).
- Maintain client case files in accordance with state, county and agency standards, policies and protocols.
- Refer clients to appropriate agencies when services not provided by this agency are needed.
- Seek update training to maintain compliance and customer service.
- Maintain cooperation with other treatment providers, collateral and referral agencies.
- Must be available to work one weekend per month.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Accepts and routes incoming calls in a manner that reflects on the agency in a positive way. Takes accurate messages and relays important general information to inquiries
- Maintains the calendar of the program, clients/patients and staff
- Create and maintain program records, including data records
- Maintain and monitor petty cash and program expenses.
- Orders and follows-up on supplies, materials and publications.
- Communicates effectively with the staff, contract agencies and the general public.
- Maintains files including monthly reports for the program
- Ensure clinicians have intake paperwork
- Emailing staff and clients/ patients
- Scheduling office space
- Maintains the security of confidential documents
- Maintain office cleanliness
- Performs other clerical and administrative tasks as assigned, (i.e. filing, duplicating data entry, and word processing correspondence, reports and other documents).
- Other duties as assigned.
